Ex Libris

Ex-libris (bookplate) is usually a small print or decorative label pasted into a book, often on the inside front cover, to indicate its owner. The most traditional motifs of Ex-libris are hedgehog and owl. Hedgehogs protect against book-thief by its needles, and Owls keep vigil overnight as guardians of treasure books. This pair of bookplates illustrated them adding contrast of Night and Day.
